Faces of Boston is a new unscripted series from Love is Reel Productions which introduces us to the people and places that make Boston such a unique place to live.
Our Megillah is a dramatic series is about the lives of four couples who are Orthodox Jews in a fictitious suburban town in Delaware. The town is midsized with a wide spectrum of Jews including Reform, Conservative, and various levels of Orthodoxy. A Jewish novelty and Judaica mail order company is Headquartered in the town.The company provides jobs for most of the Jews in the town and helps support the Orthodox Synagogue and Day School. It will follow the every day lives of the couples while including a supporting cast that illustrates the wide diversity of Jewish culture. The storyline of the four couples will progress with each episode, while simultaneously showing audiences an inside scoop into the lives of everyday Jewish people. The four couples for the series have been created to showcase different kinds of Jewish backgrounds. One goal is to be able to break away from stereotypes typically associated with Jews, especially Orthodox Jewry. The intent is for the audience to find relatable characters.For Example: One of the themes that will be illustrated in the episodes will be the cost of being an Orthodox Jew. While demostrating the beauty of the holidays of Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot, the series will also depict the stress and conflict that these couples need to face while having to afford everything that is needed for these holidays. For a similar comparison, this show would be the Jewish equivalent of the All American Muslim TV series that is currently on the air. The show will explain Jewish customs, charity, good deeds and what Judaism is about.
